Contemporary World History is a continuation of the American History courses but with a world emphasis. Global conflicts and events are studied with the inclusion of other cultures and viewpoints from around the world. Chronologically, the class examines events from World War II to the present.

The Penns Manor Contemporary World History course combined with the American History II course are affiliation courses within the Penn Highlands Community College associate's degree pathway.
