Educational Trip Request Form: Request for Pre-Approval
1. Under the Penns Manor Area School District Attendance Policy, student absences from school resulting from educational trips will be considered for approval by the administration. This request must be submitted at least one week prior to the trip.
2. Days that the student misses for an educational trip will be accounted for in their total number of days absent in accordance with the District’s attendance policy.
3. It is the student’s responsibility to request missed coursework from his/her teachers.
4. It is not the intent of this policy to grant excused absences to local points of interest, attendance at sporting events, hunting or fishing trips, or shopping trips.
5. Trips should not be scheduled during PSSA and Keystone testing times. These requests will not be granted.
6. A maximum of 10 days may be granted per school year. No Student who has been considered excessively absent will be excused for trips.
