Library Skills 6 Course Description
The students will be introduced to various software programs, including Google Apps for Education. They will learn to use digital and print research resources effectively and ethically, including the resources the library/school district provides. Students will also engage with issues of internet safety, media use, digital citizenship, educational technology and STEM resources.
Library Science 8 Course Description
This course reviews the various software products, print resources, and digital resources that the students were introduced to in Library Skills 6, and explores these resources more fully. Students will also explore various STEM-related software.
21st Century Skills Lab Description
This course empowers students with essential 21st-century skills to succeed in any post-secondary path they choose. Built around the 4 C’s of 21st Century Learning—Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity—students will tackle challenges that sharpen their “soft skills” while developing modern Competence and piquing their Curiosity. Through engaging, real-world applications, this course prepares students to navigate and thrive in an ever-changing world.
