My name is Erica Lauer and I am an English teacher and the English Department Chair at Penns Manor High School. I am also the senior high book club advisor and the impromptu speech team coach.

I graduated from Cambria Heights High School in 1991. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Secondary Education, with a minor in history, from Saint Francis University in May 1995. I completed coursework to earn a Social Studies certification from Saint Francis in May 1996. I earned a Master of Education degree, also from Saint Francis, in August 1999.

 

 In the Spring semester of 1996, I taught as a long-term substitute at Cambria Heights, teaching English and Social Studies. During the 1996-97 school year, I was a long-term English sub at Tyrone High School. I was hired at Penns Manor at the start of the 1997-98 school year and have been here since. Over the years, I have taught a variety of English and Social Studies courses. I was the school newspaper advisor for 18 years and was also senior class advisory for a number of years.
